This Young British fellow *chuckles alone in the darkness* is a figure to add to the Plini-Sithu Aye duo. Yes, Theo would be able to sneak in cognito into any of those two’s albums! And that’s saying something, and that something is: it’s freaking GOOD!

Peculate – The Chain Industry (Collateral Damage, Pt. II)

The music of Peculate has been described as many things. I, however, would like to describe Peculate as restless, colourful, and eclectic.

Restless because a new LP is released every few months, with a few songs or sometimes an EP in-between. The rate of production resembles that of Omar Rodriguez-López, or, in other words, it’s a crazy production rate! Colourful and eclectic go side-by-side: the music is varied and in-your-face, hence the “colourful”, and its inspiration is drawn from a very diverse array of genres, and styles, quite literally “eclectic”.

Exist has been running for a few years now, and they’ve got a new, their first, full-length album, that’s called Sunlight. Don’t be misled by the name, it’s not rainbows and butterflies.
Listen to the second track off the album, “Self-Inflicted Disguise”, below.

Their previous albums, In Mirrors EP, is almost just technically an EP, clocking at around 28 minutes long. Some bands put out full-lengths that are shorter than this.
