Car Bomb – Meta Teaser

The crazy mathcore band that is Car Bomb recently began sending image and music files to their fans, but none showed the complete picture. With a total of 36 tiles and music files, their publicity stunt brought their fans together in order to complete it and be able to see and hear what’s cooking! We’ve put a lot of effort on our facebook page and on forums all around the internet to be able to put the pieces together, and I must give a huge thank you to Simon Timothy Dawes (check out his bands, they are out of this… Read more

Follow the White Rabbit – Endorphinia, an Analysis Of

a3247440373_10I’ve been a huge fan of this band since November 2012, just a couple of weeks after the release of Endorphinia, their latest – and last – album. I can’t exactly remember how I discovered Follow the White Rabbit… Was it a friend’s recommendation? A blog mentioned it? A post on some music forum? It was completely unexpected for me, and I was also pleased to hear that a bassist had joined their ranks: Chris Hutchinson-Mogg. And what an addition!… Read more

Warm up Your Throats! Audition to Be the Voice of II II II!

II II II is amongst my favourite bands because of their unique style of composition. Their experimental, jazzy mathcore album, A Conundrum on My Coffee Table, from 2012, still gets played fairly frequently, which is quite a feat for me! The recent news of new material from the band, with the release of an instrumental demo on Youtube (below), stirred me up and got me very excited. It seems I wasn’t the only one because in response to the public’s reaction, the band decided to move on and concretize the new EP.

Right now, on SoundCloud, they have put … Read more

Instrumental (adj.) – A Series of Disagreements

a1446988580_16Plini, Fat Guy Wears Mystic Wolf Shirt, The Helix Nebula, SEIMS, and Violence In Action have a baby together. The name of the child with such a terrifying genealogy is Instrumental (adj.). In fact, it’s not even an actual name. But as we shouldn’t mock anyone’s name, let’s tackle this one with no preconceived ideas.

Instrumental (adj.) is an instrumental (…) band from crazed Australia. If the portfolio of its progenitors is any indicator of how the offspring will turn out, then it’s going to be quite a listen! And oh boy how it is! A Series of Read more
