Talking to Women about Videogames: The Album – on sale for $0.99

Now on sale for just 99 cents is the “Talking to Women about Videogames” album by Jonathan Holmes (associate editor of Destructoid). This album is a collection of remixes of the theme song of Jonathan’s YouTube series Talking to Women about Videogames and features tracks by video game music composers such as Jesse Hopkins (Mount and Blade, Gratuitous Space Battles), Souleye (VVVVVV), Danny B (Super Meat Boy, HAWP), Matt Harwood (Bit.Trip, Alien Hominid) among many others. This album is all over the place with some very low budget sounding tracks that are just meant to be funny and entertaining, as well as some well done chiptune tracks, and even some cool Rock and Metal tracks. One of my favorites on the album is Jesse Hopkins’ “Jonny Can’t Stop” which is a completely random roller coaster ride through different genres (much in the vain of Crotchduster) with lyrics that won’t make sense no matter how many times you listen to them.

For 99 cents you get 46 tracks (which includes some bonus tracks not streamable on bandcamp) and while you may not like every track, and will probably dislike a few, there’s bound to be something hidden in here that you’ll enjoy. Also keep in mind most of the tracks on this album are essentially different versions of the same song (it is a remix album). Check it out if you want to hear something REALLY different.
