Hadean – On Fading

This week’s been a great one for post-[insert genre] music: I finally got into deafheaven’s Sunbather album and it’s awesome, the new Second to Sun releases are getting more post-black kinda stuff, the new album Laurestine from So Hideous is gorgeous, and in the weeks prior, there has been even more cool post stuff! Ilevens have released a video for their single Drowns

Microtonal rock band Ilevens, led by the mind of Brendan Byrnes, is one of the only examples I know of of a microtonal band ready for live performances. They use 22 notes per octave instruments and have released a bunch of demos that were sung in a made-up language that I’ll refer to as ilevian from now on, but they seem to have gone back to good ol’ English for this song.

You’re Lucky, God, That I Cannot Reach You is Down I Go‘s sophomore full-length release, after “This Is Dinocore”, as well as two shorter EP’s and a Christmas single. The band crowdfunded their new album via Kickstarter where it was completely funded (and I didn’t know or completely forgot about it, therefore didn’t even contribute myself!), and you can now stream the entirety of it on Upset Magazine.
