Review: In Torment – Sphere Of Metaphysical Incarnations

1 - coverIn Torment is a technical death metal band from Brazil. Sphere of Metaphysical Incarnations is their third and latest album, released through Rapture Records… no, not this one, THIS one (and yes, that’s a myspace link).

They make that traditional kind of tech-death, nothing too fancy or sparkly, just great riffs, blast beats, and cool guitar solos. Ever member is skilled on their instrument, as we should expect, and the construction of songs is good. That said, it’s a pretty boring album. At just over 30 minutes in length, which is kinda short, it still feels too long. But, like everything in arts, it’s a matter of taste. If you’re into technical death metal and just want more of it, this will surely satisfy your needs, but for me, I just don’t feel compelled to listen to it again.

Here’s a video for the opening track of the album, The Unnatural Conception.

I don’t know where you can actually get the album, because the band’s website is apparently broken, and their label’s website is a myspace (there’s a blogspot as well), but, well, that’s it.
