In an uncanny series of events, Wet Electric‘s latest album art features an old-school computer, just like Ellen Kirkwood’s [A]part (which is amazing, by the way). Better than mildly funny is the music on Volume 1. It is not every day that I am speechless in front of new music. However, the mad geniuses behind the French-based band Suess broke my inner mechanisms. 10 der größten Schlagerhits aller Zeiten is the group’s debut album, standing tall with thirty-four minutes that feels like hours. I don’t know how to describe the sounds found therein, other than they are based off of the Schlager music genre in some way.

Coming from the same master brain as Zombieshark!, Data Pagan takes the glitch aesthetics and artificial aspects of cybergrind to impressive heights. I once said that the album sounds like a less gorey, but still as fantastically contorted, as Mulk, which is high praise. This is quite a fun album!
