It has already been a month since the release of Vox Medusae, and it has been very impressive and amazing to see your response to it. Many of you bought the album, either digitally or physically, and many more downloaded it for free on either mine or Potmos Hetoimos‘s bandcamp page.
We still have some digipaks left, and they’re still at the same low prices. With regards to shipping, we actually overshot our estimate and will be reviewing our flat rate down for future sales. That is, if you intend to buy a digipak, it will be even cheaper, and therefore accessible to more of you! I also have three units that were slightly damaged during shipping. I’m ready to let them go for the cost of the shipping only—contact me for an arrangement!
I’m glad to tell you the album received generally positive reviews, some of them very flattering while some instead focused on the finer negative, often subjective details, but still coming out with a net positive. A selection of websites who wrote about the album includes Angry Metal Guy, Invisible Oranges, Headbanger Reviews, and Metal Trenches. Many thanks to all of you and to those I couldn’t mention.
As a label, I see it as a promising start and a first experience that was full of teachings. I will be on the lookout for new albums to sign, however I am not—not yet, anyways—interested in music that has already been released digitally. If you’re in the process of putting together an album that you think would fit under our name—creative music that pushes boundaries, tries something new—then feel free to submit an email to us with some information, or use our contact form at the bottom of this page to do so.
Thanks again to all of you for your time listening and reading, and for your support towards this crazy endeavour. I’m already looking forward to the label’s second release!
