The tide is turning! Good on Bandcamp to act on the AI plague, but I’ve got to say this is toothless. You’ll be able to report music as AI-generated (although I still don’t see the option in the Report form), and Bandcamp has reserved “the right to remove any music on suspicion of being AI-generated.”

A more aggressive approach needs to be enacted, because AI-generated content can easily overwhelm the report form and the resources of Bandcamp to review AI albums, with the use of bots for example. I suggest to integrate a built-in AI-detection tool for music uploaded to Bandcamp that rejects any and all music that it detects is AI-generated, and that flags the account.

We need to take a stronger stance against AI music. AI is a scam from top to bottom. We need to take up arms against AI, and it’s not enough to place a “No AI” sign on the door.
