Our four-dimensional cube fellows just released their new bomb, entitled Altered State. It is divided into ten songs and four movements.

Ashe does an amazing job for vocal duties. Antipodal to the trend, his vocals are clean only, and give a wonderful feeling of dreaminess at times. The other instrumentists are exceptionally talented, too, and blow this off in your face on all of the 51 minutes of the album. Polyrhythms, djents, solos, and just freaking awesome riffs dot the album and make sure to keep you interested and on the edge.

Altered State is a strongly recommended album for any prog metal lover. If you don’t like the harsher vocals of common djent bands, you will definitely like the voice on this one. And if you don’t like it, there’s an instrumental version of the CD that comes with it!
