ART238 – Atavism

Many things can change in a seven year period; many things can work for the better or the worse. Fortunately, this hiatus worked for the benefit of ART238. After some intense live shows the band did last year in French soil, atavism_recto_promothey decided that 2014 is the right time to hurl their newest offering (the first in seven years) like a radioactive missile ready to awaken and revert the most primal human instincts. However, after the addition of new members,  there are certain elements that have shaped the band’s sound into something different.

At first, Atavism may seem like an … Read more

ΛΗΘΗ – Λήθη 12’ LP

1371442_354040028063554_1307325624_nIf lethe is equivalent to oblivion and concealment , this Greek trio’s matching name has to be making no use of self-reference, in fact quite the opposite. Same goes for the music included on ΛΗΘΗ’s first full-length 12’ LP, which appears as a tool of disenchantment and awakening. Ten tracks inspired by futilities such as daily life’s horror, religion, love, despair and the fear in which mankind is helplessly doomed to, seem like a violent watercourse, drowning everyone into its caustic, subversive depths.

Diving into the album, we come across a chaotic and ardent aggregation that crushes them ignorant lees, … Read more

This split release bearing the aberrant title ‘Quantum of Abstract Quantum of Abstract Physics coverPhysics’ is slowly processing it’s final phase and the result is surely of remarkable proportions, something that was actually fairly expected. Featuring two of the most interesting and intriguing underground dark ambient bands I’ve heard, as of recently, joined forces into an album that could be considered as not of this earth, just like the imagination of the concept clearly manifests. This lengthy prologue is directed to LEBEN OHNE LICHT KOLLEKTIV and  IMMEMORIAL, and their masterminds  I.Luciferia, Damien Read more

In a time when female-fronted metal is almost a cliché, SEDUCE THE HEAVEN came as … Read more
